Eleven

Don’t we look young? Eleven years of marriage yesterday. Such good years! We are sneaking away sans girls for a couple of nights this week. We are looking forward to it. Understatement!

Telfer says I dress our girls like upper-class bag ladies. At least in this picture. True? I am not so sure. This bright, bright green building is the Frog Pond, a little convenience store in our neighborhood. The girls awoke from naptime last week to find that we were fresh out of popsicles. Disaster almost occurred and then I remembered we could walk to popsicles…

Jane’s first swim class was on Saturday. Daddy was the parent in the water and I took the pictures. I was happy with this arrangement. She loves the water and I thought the whole experience was adorable. If I shed tears during swim lessons, can you imagine what I will be like during ballet or kindergarten graduation? Cate’s first lesson is on Tuesday (no parent in the water, just a teacher).

I brought home a 3-pack of cracker jacks from the store on Saturday. This is snack time on the porch. Jane and I love cracker jacks while Cate is unsure. What’s not to like, kid? Caramel corn, peanuts, and a prize? Really?

  1. Hi cate, I don’t like cracker jacks either. But I would eat them when they were the only sugar offered and almost enjoyed them at the circus.
Are there upper class bag ladies? Maybe it’s the hats. But so cute.. Nice green.

  2. Look at you twenty-somethings?! I still remember all the wonderful things about that weekend (i.e. ornament). Jane almost looks like a little toe-head on the porch – they are both so sweet. Jane is my kind of eater 🙂
