We were surprised by rain on our way out of church this morning and proceeded to race back to the comfort of our house. After a delicious breakfast of apple-cinnamon pancakes we built our first fire (in our first fireplace in our first house) and settled in front of it with plenty of reading material. The added bonus for me was the convenient cancellation of some planned re-painting of trim on our front porch due to rain…so sad.

How fun! I’m so jealous … it has been raining for nine days and I’ll have got is the comfort of my red couch. Glad to know that CA can have alittle fall weather too.

Hi! I was just showing Paul your blog and it took a minute for the “fireplace” picture to display…let me tell you Paul was about ready to jump out of his seat with excitement when he saw the posting title, “first fire”. I hated to disappoint him when the true meaning of the post was revealed. Love you! Hope your having fun at Happy Hour:-)…he-he.
