Somehow, we are celebrating our five-year anniversary today! I keep saying, "Five years ago RIGHT NOW we were at our rehearsal dinner" or "Five years ago RIGHT NOW we were getting our pictures taken." Telfer is getting a bit tired of the endless reminiscing…. Inspired by Amanda’s recent post, we decided to give ourselves a gift (what’s not to like about this concept) structured on the traditional anniversary gift list. As wood is the gift for five years, we found a wood-framed piece of art!
But a fortunate marriage offers more than mere "tranquil affection." It
is, in essence, a civilization of two, and its greatest joy is a
conversation that goes on for decades. – From Book by Book by Michael Dirda
Yeah for traditional anniversary gifts! The framed art piece is beautiful, along with the other rooms in your house.

Nice!
Art is one of the best things to spend money on that I can think of. Congrats you two!

I would like to comment on the picture of you relaxing in your “nook”…first of all, didn’t the table use to be white?? And Andrea you look so FUN and CUTE – I wish I was laying across from you in Corlett in our twin beds, bonking our heads on the shelf that was dangerously low…and of course RELAXING. You deserve it. Love the placement of the stars and the new picture. Yummy.
