Telfer’s work schedule permitted no jaunts up I-5 this year, so after a serious discussion, we realized we were more than ready to spend Christmas on our own for the first time. And then….Mom & Dad decided to come down, then all of Telfer’s family too, and then finally, Elizabeth and Eric! Our one-bathroom house started whining but soon realized not everyone was staying with us. Anyway, we had a blessed time together with our families.
We spent Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa’s in Long Beach (ridiculous amounts of pictures on the Flickr link) with all of Telfer’s family plus my parents. Mom & Dad brought our traditional Norwegian Christmas breakfast on the plane (so incredibly good, just finished the last piece of the bread last night) and then on Christmas night, we hosted a soup bar at our house. It was better than it sounds.
