Telfer and I consumed our respective body weights in espresso over the course of our trip. Espresso is high yield*. The taste is so incredibly concentrated, the caffeine high so immediate that I wonder why Americans insist on concealing their coffee in vast quantities of steamed milk. It’s really unfortunate.
This is a picture of my second double espresso in fifteen minutes at a cafe in Prague.
*High yield is a medical student term that has worked its way into our everyday family lexicon (unlike say, polymyalgia rheumatica).
Sounds lovely — although, I would have been shaking like crazy after two double espressos in fifteen minutes. I guess I’m not able to handle a high yield.
