Telfer may have been on 24-hour OB call on Christmas Eve but we were hardly sad. Henry and I visited him in his call room, bringing highly anticipated gifts of Thai food and Chevy Chase’s Christmas Vacation. Quite the combo. We made it through the movie with merely one interruption from a woman in labor needing an epidural. After Henry and I left the hospital there was a plethora of Christmas babies which kept Telfer busy through the night.
This is our seventh married Christmas and our first one together alone (somehow). Of course we missed our families but we had an extremely relaxing, happy Christmas with just the two of us.

I love Christmas with just my little family!
Lest I blaspheme, I love time w/ extended family too, but I am coming to enjoy it more when it isn’t a holiday.
Of course, we are off to Portland on Monday, and I am VERY excited to see everyone!
