The new dinner

Since Cate was sick a couple of weeks ago, mealtimes have been a little rough. Food that she used to enjoy like baby oatmeal, chicken and some fruit, are no longer friends and the mere sight of a certain jar of baby food is enough to get the reaction below.

She's eating a LOT of yogurt. And bananas. So I guess it could be worse. The dramatic reactions last seconds and the pictures below were taken in a space of less than two minutes.

Anyone want to come over for dinner?

  1. Gabriel also can run through a ton of emotions all within the space of a few minutes, I don’t know how he has the energy for it all.
Gabriel also has a banana love. He points at them, reaching, screaming at the top of his lungs and when I finally give him one will not eat it without peanut butter. Children are weird. Also, no fresh fruit, only dried. No veggies unless he can dip them in ranch. I am always trying to come up with new things for him to eat but my brain often gives in and we eat bagels and yogurt.
Don’t worry about a thing, everything you do is perfect and there is no way Cate is smart enough to starve herself at this point. 🙂

  2. I love her pose in #4.
And #6 is the same expression that all cardiac fellows have when we find out we have to work in a thoracic room.
