Liam Hall was my very cute overnight guest this weekend. Bekah and Jeff jetted off to Palm Springs to celebrate their five-year wedding anniversary and I got to watch Liam for them! He came on Saturday afternoon and his parents picked him up a little while ago. He ate (bottles of milk, hot dogs, peaches, and rice cereal), played (those cool blocks in the picture), read (Goodnight Moon & The Foot Book), we walked down College Avenue and we even slept a little!
We are so back to normal
The Floor Project of 2006 is basically done. We are so happy to be back to normal! Thick yellow dust coated much of our house so it was quite the project to get everything cleaned up. We do still need to paint all the molding now…but not today, that’s for sure.
Sprinkles
It’s probably not that normal to take a day off of work to visit a cupcake shop in Beverly Hills called Sprinkles, but that’s exactly what I did yesterday. Two other good reasons: 1. Telfer had the day off and we needed to spend some "quality time" together and 2. Burton (home from Iraq for two weeks) and Tracie were in town!
State of the Floor
This is what our floor looks like right now – not bad at all. Redlands Floorhouse will sand and finish it on Monday. We will be in quite a mess for awhile – the stove is in the dining room and the fridge is in the library.
Cora is ONE!
I am a little late to wish Cora a happy first birthday (her b’day was April 20) BUT Alyssa sent this picture and I had to put it up. Cora is sitting on the floor just like me, Alyssa and Elizabeth used to do. Seeing Cora sitting this way brought back so many memories of being young, both the name and the age, and having sisters to play with.
There are more pictures of Cora (with cake on her face) on the right – I am playing around with flickr these days….
