Um, why do I* like the Beowulf movie so much? So ridiculous yet so enthralling. And it was funny! And when the screen is five stories and you get plastic glasses so that the visual effects are totally enhanced…even better.
Being the English major and a tad too serious I thought maybe I should stay home and read the Seamus Heaney translation of Beowulf. But, you have to go see a movie Thanksgiving weekend.
*Telfer, the man who loves every movie, loved Beowulf as well. Surprising.

Um, yeah, I did some huge book report on Beowulf in the ninth grade and now cannot remember a thing about it. Maybe seeing the movie might bring back some foggy memories… In fact, I don’t think that I really read the whole thing, probably got the Cliff’s Notes, sad…
