Indeed

new motto

Recently ensconced on our living room wall, we have adopted this as our new motto for this new phase of life. Or, I should say, I have adopted this as my new motto. When is Telfer NOT calm?

I had an appointment yesterday – Telfer was able to go too – and my doctor thinks I’ll be about two weeks early. I think this next Tuesday will be my last day at work. I am hoping for just a smidgen of hammock time before Cate makes her arrival. In other good news, she already weighs 5lbs, 14 oz. which relieves me. I was  a little worried she’d be way too puny.

I saw the vintage poster in a magazine and found a reproduction here. Apparently, "Keep Calm and Carry On" was a widely distributed British WWII slogan.

  1. Perfect…do you mind if we all adopt the same motto? Seriously, I love it. TWO WEEKS EARLY!? I am wondering if this was post 2:00am hot dog (which looks amazing, by the way)? That could of had a part in all this:). Hope to talk to you soon bff. So excited…

  2. I love the poster! You are one step ahead of me; I’ve been planning to buy it since seeing it on Apartment Therapy. Great minds think a like …

  3. A great poster. The wisdom of it become clearer as the responsibilities increase. I think you both are wonderfully ready to enter this next “chapter” of your life.
